Radiology

Radiology, or x-ray, is a very important tool in the general veterinary practice. An array of illnesses and diseases in cats and dogs require x-ray for diagnosis, including various lung and heart conditions, abdominal disease, and skeletal changes including fractures. Our ability to make a diagnosis is dependent on the quality of the x-rays we can take – this is why at McQueen Animal Hospital, we opted for a state of the art digital radiology suite, which instantly provides high quality digital images. For difficult cases, with the click of a button these images can be sent to a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist for interpretation, exactly as is done in the human field. We can also very easily e-mail you a copy of your pets’ x-rays for your records.
