Treatment Area

Our Treatment Area is the heart of McQueen Animal Hospital. In modern veterinary hospitals, the treatment room is described as “the most active part of the hospital” and serves as the hub that connects all other work areas. Our central treatment space follows that principle – it’s open and bright, allowing our team to monitor patients closely while maintaining clear sightlines to the surrounding pharmacy, laboratory and surgical suite.

Within this area, we perform the day‑to‑day procedures that keep your pet healthy. Here is where we place intravenous catheters, administer fluids and medications, draw blood samples and perform minor procedures such as cleaning wounds . Hospitalized pets are kept in this space so our doctors and technicians can keep a close eye on them around the clock – a dedicated treatment area allows for continuous monitoring and quick intervention when needed .

The Treatment Area is also where we prepare patients for surgery. This central location makes it efficient to clip fur, scrub surgical sites and begin anesthesia, and it’s adjacent to our surgical suite so pets can be moved quickly and safely for their procedures. A separate dentistry table is located here for routine dental cleanings and advanced oral surgeries. By keeping dental work in the Treatment Area, we can share anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices with our surgery team, ensuring consistent safety standards.

Our clinic was designed so that every service — from diagnostics to surgery — revolves around this Treatment Area. At McQueen Animal Hospital, this layout allows us to provide high‑quality, compassionate care in one well‑organized space.
